2nd Seminar on Frontier Development and Industrialization of Intelligent Robots Held in Beijing

The 2nd academic seminar on frontier development and industrialization of intelligent robots was held in Beijing, from Jan 31 to Feb 2, 2018.



More than 100 experts from all over the world attended the meeting. Heavyweights included Prof. Abderrahmane Khedda, Director of the CNRS-AIST Joint Robotics Laboratory, Prof. Michael Nitsche, Director of Leibniz Research Centre for Working Environment and Human Factors Dept. of Psychology and Neurosciences, Prof. Kaneko Makato of Osaka University, as well as researchers from BAICIRS: Prof. Toshio Fukuda, Prof. Huang Qiang, Prof. Wu Jinglong, Prof. Arai Tatsuo, Prof. Paolo Dario, and Prof. Masakatsu Fujie.


Theme of the seminar included the academic trend and industrialization progress, the global research dynamics, and the international exchanges in the field of intelligent robots and systems. Prof. Abderrahmane, Prof. Nitsche and Prof. Kaneto shared their experience respectively in applying the humanoid robot cybernetics, cognitive neuroscience, and micro-nano manipulation technologies to biology/pharmaceutics. Besides, discussions were heated on topics of biomedical image and signal processing, brain-brain interface and brain-computer interface, medical surgical robots, rehabilitation robots, and nano/microbiological robots.
