Cyborg and Bionic Systems is Officially Founded

Science Partner Journal Cyborg and Bionic Systems jointly published by Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is officially founded and starts to receive papers.

 

 

In Cyborg and Bionic Systems’ editorial board, Toshio Fukuda who is a foreign member of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and a Professor at BIT holds the Chief Editor. Professor HUANG Qiang at BIT and other three distinguished scholars who are from China and abroad act as Deputy Editors-in-Chief. Cyborg and Bionic Systems’ core mission is to promote the deep integration of living beings and electromechanical systems, covering advanced subjects in robotics, bioengineering, neuro-science, neuro-engineering and other fields.

 “Researches related to cyborg and bionic systems are closely connected with medical care, family service and assistances to the elderly and the disabled”, said President ZHANG Jun at BIT, a member of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), “the flourishing advancement of researches on intelligent robot and integrated system has brought splendid opportunities to the founding and further development of Cyborg and Bionic Systems. I firmly believe that with support from AAAS, BIT, as a vital base driving the robotic industry and fostering talents, will provide an enabling academic exchange platform which integrates multi disciplines and takes lead in the frontier of international science and technology for global scholars in related fields. Taking advancing cyborg and bionic systems and improving human being’s livelihood as its mission, BIT will make its due contributions.”

Cyborg and Bionic Systems has been included in the New Journal with High Beginning Point Project of Chinese scientific journals’ Excellence Action Plan. The journal has obtained an ISSN and is expected to be published in 2020.
